Extruded Activated Carbon

        NORIT CN1 powdered activated carbon: designed for the purification of (highly) discolored and/or foaming process liquids. It is used in food, beverage, pharma, and fine chemical applications that require a purification aid with a neutral pH, such as the purification of pH sensitive pharmaceuticals and clarified cane sugar syrups.  

        This high activity mesoporous product is especially suitable where: 

• Medium to dark discolorations need to be removed (typically dark yellow to brown) 

• Medium to high molecular weight impurities are targeted (e.g. degradation or condensation side products, natural pigments, oligopeptides.) 

• The treated solution is aqueous

• A high purity, neutral pH adsorbent is required 

• Excellent filtration rates and minimal filter aid demand are desired 

         NORIT CN1 powdered activated carbon is produced by chemical activation (phosphoric acid process) of a renewable raw material (wood). The activation process, followed by an extensive wash process with final neutralization, and dedicated milling, results in the well-developed meso-porosity, high purity, neutral pH, and excellent filterability. 

         We operate our production plant for NORIT CN1 powdered activated carbon consistent with the following certifications: 

• HACCP Food Hygiene System, 

• ISO 9001 Quality Management System, 

• ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. 

Halal and Kosher certificates are available upon request. This product meets the requirements of the US Food Chemicals Codex

This product is available in:

-  Corrugated cardboard boxes with polythene inner sacs, containing 15 kg per box, 30 boxes per pallet, shrink wrapped (450 kg net weight per pallet)
